I believe that photography is not just about the art- it's certainly important to me that my shots are in focus, colorful, and representative of the subject. However, photography is also about telling a story. A picture can speak a thousand words, and a thousand words can drown out the sound of everything else if you listen closely- if you look intently. There is a story to be told in every scene, every branch, rock, droplet of water, paddler, road, sign, and each beam of light from the heavens in the ski that kisses our planet has a story to tell. If we could freeze everything around us to stop, look around, and take everything in; I know the world would be a better place. We can't freeze the world, though, so instead I will settle for freezing the frame, and capturing the story the world around me has to tell in that moment.
